About Me

Born Casey Layne Hammer, a native Californian, I spent my high school years in the Philippines. After graduating from Pepperdine University with a degree in Business, I spent the following 10 years in the retail industry, working for Neiman Marcus, Robinson’s Department Stores, and Interpacific Hawaii Retail Group.

In 1990, after the death of my grandfather, industrialist and philanthropist Dr. Armand Hammer, I left the retail industry for the Entertainment industry. I studied with leading acting coaches at the Stella Adler Conservatory, Actor’s Circle Theater, Howard Fine Acting Studio, and elsewhere. I produced an award-winning play, Tennessee Jar, acted in numerous TV specials, appeared in the film Leap of Faith, and am currently a member of the Screen Actors Guild.

After moving to San Diego in 2000, I graduated from the Western School of Feng Shui and am now a licensed Feng Shui Practitioner, owning the successful company Dragon Devas. As a licensed Feng Shui Practitioner for over 22 years, my goal is to correct imbalances in my client’s life and attract positive changes to create a better and more powerful experience and destiny. Using the Bagua Map and balancing the Five Elements, I emphasize the importance of placement of objects in the environment. I derive great pleasure in empowering people to help themselves while always reminding them that their environment is a direct reflection of who they are inside and out. My goal is to assist my clients in creating an environment that is beautiful, safe, comfortable, balanced and harmonious while correcting imbalances to attract positive changes leading to a more powerful and fulfilling life. Helping them to strengthen and clarify their own intentions and visualizations will inevitably produce more successful results. I derive great pleasure in empowering people to help themselves.

Lady In Black Suit
For the past five years, I worked at the Home Depot Design Center in San Diego as a Kitchen and Bathroom Designer. I am an experienced designer with a demonstrated history of working in the design industry, bringing style, taste, and remodeling budget together to create all aspects of the client’s perfect kitchen based on NKBA industry standards and guidelines and using Feng Shui principles to enhance the client’s space and energy flow. I enjoyed assisting customers on their journey of seeing, believing, and manifesting their all-inclusive perfect kitchen and bath that in the past they’ve only dreamed about. I gathered their thoughts and ideas and challenged them to take that leap of faith to fill their empty canvas with the full expression of what their heart desires. By bringing together style and taste, along with being knowledgeable with regard to trends, creation selection, space planning, materials, and finishes, I helped create their personal sensory playground.

Over the years, I finally decided that I was born to be a writer, and eight years ago, I published my autobiography, Surviving My Birthright, and, now with additional content, Surviving My Birthright: The Authorized Version. I am currently working on the sequel, Hammertime: Surviving & Thriving. I am also writing a series of illustrated children’s books, the first in the series, Joy of Wonder.

Last year, I signed an exclusive deal with Talos Films and Warner Bros Discovery+ to do a limited docuseries airing on Discovery+ in Fall 2022. In this docuseries House of Hammer, I reveal for the first time on camera the inside story of the Hammer family saga with access to personal archives and new revelations providing a compelling and firsthand account of my family’s rise and fall and my own descent and escape from the darkness. My story was also featured in Vanity Fair May 2021 issue, the in-depth expose on Armie Hammer: The Rise and Fall of the House of Hammer, along with an hour-long interview on Juicy Scoop with Heather McDonald. I believe that my purpose as a survivor of abuse is, by telling my story, to help empower others to heal by speaking up and to know that they are heard. I hope to continue my journey by being an advocate for victims and survivors and to bring awareness by starting a conversation around consent, accountability and victim advocacy to help empower others and begin the healing process. I hope to continue talking and sharing my story and eventually end up on the TED stage or anywhere that people need help healing from all types of abuse.

Of the many different careers I have had over the years, the most rewarding has been my volunteer work with children. While in Los Angeles, I was a mentor for the Fulfillment Fund, a U.C.L.A affiliate, and volunteered in the pediatric I.C.U. department of the hospital. I co-founded Horses in the Hood, a nonprofit organization that gives inner-city children the opportunity to actively participate in the care and riding of horses. I have always been compelled to work with children and will someday start a nonprofit organization that will help abused and neglected children. I am credentialed to teach yoga, trained and educated in the field of bodybuilding and owned my own horses, and competed in A circuit Show Jumping.
Spiritual growth and community are a huge part of my life, and I believe in being my own self-advocate for my own well-being. Life should be experienced and lived to the fullest while treating yourself and others with respect and dignity. I am passionate about life and continue to seek new and exciting challenges; I love an adventure. I believe that, with all my life experiences, I am exactly where I am supposed to be…..
